ECIS Endnote Reference Style Template

The ECIS submission template provides six types of references: journal; conference; book; blog; thesis; and report. I’ve added a seventh one in the form of book chapter. Here is an overview of what fields must be filled for each reference type:

Journal: Author; Year; Title; Journal; Volume; Issue; Pages.

Conference: Author; Year; Title; Conference Name; Conference Location. (Pages have not been added in this style as is suggested as often conferences don’t provide pages).

Book: Author; Year; Title; Place Published; Publisher; Edition (written as 2nd Edition, 3rd Edition, etc.).

Book Chapter: Author; Year; Title; Editor; Book Title; Place Published; Publisher; Pages.

Blog: Author; Year; Title; Access Date: URL (you must put in the letters “URL:” before your URL)

Thesis: Author; Year; Title; University; Thesis Type.

Report: Author; Year; Title; Institution; Report Number (you must manually put in the report type, i.e. “Technical Report” before the report number).

If you would like me to add any other reference types, or make changes to any mistakes that you see, just send me an email.
